This PlusOne program in school psychology is an accelerated Master’s program between the Department of Psychology (College of Science) and the Department of Applied Psychology (Bouvé College of Health Sciences) that allows students to earn an Master’s in Applied Psychology with one year of study beyond the BS in Psychology from Northeastern.

Undergraduate students who pursue the PlusOne in School Psychology may take up to five graduate courses in School Psychology which double count towards their requirements for the BS degree and their requirements for the MS degree.
Students who complete the PlusOne Program in good standing will be admitted into the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in School Psychology Program. Completing the CAGS in School Psychology would require an additional year of coursework including 450 hours of field work and a 1200 hour internship in a public school.
Students completing the full CAGS School Psychology Program would be licensed School Psychologists in Massachusetts.
Please note that earning the Certificate of Advanced Study (CAGS ) in School Psychology, which is the required credential for working as a school psychologist, would require an additional 2-years of study after completing the PlusOne.
