WHY NORTHEASTERN?
Northeastern made it feel like I could do it all. I still work full time, get to take classes, and get to be part of the student ambassador team. I also really liked that the MSAP program at Northeastern offers the elective track, which allows me to approach my coursework in an exploratory way.
WHAT I LOVE
I love that the program is offered online, but everyone and everything feels really accessible. Professors are always willing to meet, have 1:1s, and the courses really facilitate a cohort experience. It feels like the best of both worlds.
FUN FACT
In high school, I got to play at Carnegie Hall as a harpist with my youth orchestra.
FAVORITE CLASS
So far, Development Across the Lifespan. I love how holistic the approach to the material felt. Not only did it cover the whole human lifespan, but it did so in a way that utilized a biopsychosocial model, and that combination of perspectives really resonated with me. I am also currently taking statistics, which so far I really like!

WHY NORTHEASTERN?
I chose Northeastern for its prestigious reputation and coursework that prepares students for success. Its connections around the city not only help you engage better with network connections, but also in social connections. I chose Northeastern because I felt ready to take a step up towards my career.
WHAT I LOVE
The professors are dedicated to their work, studies, and genuinely teaching their students. Especially in the world of AI, it’s easy to forget how to learn in a classroom. My professors have done a really good job at acknowledging this new world in our learning methods, while also maintaining engaging lectures and teaching us skills that AI can’t.
FAVORITE CLASS
Concepts in Pharmaceutical Sciences I. It’s a core class that everyone in the SOPPS Department takes, but for me, it also represents the start of my dedication to my career. Concepts I teaches you a lot of relevant information used in the pharma/biotech research industry, some of which I go back to while reading a new article or for other coursework.
FUN FACT
I studied abroad in Granada, Spain! I got a pomegranate tattoo to prove it (granada is Spanish for pomegranate).
WHY NORTHEASTERN?
Northeastern provides an experiential learning capacity where we can practice our future counseling roles within clinical settings. There is so much opportunity within the city of Boston and Northeastern catalyzes an environment to grow as a student, a professional, and within the community.
WHAT I LOVE
I love how much the program encourages involvement, and how our learning expands inside and outside the classroom. Our dreams transform to reality!
FUN FACT
I have played field hockey since middle school, sparking my interest in the Sports Psychology field.

WHY NORTHEASTERN?
Northeastern’s Direct-Entry Nursing program is unique in that it streamlines the path to becoming a nurse practitioner, and it offers several specialty tracks for students to choose from. Northeastern’s program is also situated within a leading healthcare hub that offers valuable clinical opportunities.
WHAT I LOVE
I love the community that has come from enrolling in the program. The professors are so committed to our success; meanwhile, the students in my cohort are extremely supportive of one another and we all come from diverse backgrounds that strengthen the academic environment.
FUN FACT
I am the biggest Taylor Swift fan! My favorite song is All Too Well (10-minute version, of course).

WHY NORTHEASTERN?
I loved how Boston is a healthcare hub and how unique Northeastern is with our co-op program allowing students to get nearly 2 years of clinical experience by the end of their degree.
WHAT I LOVE
I love how we are taught by a variety of experts in their respective fields. From pharmacists working at world-renowned hospitals in a variety of settings to scientists, we are able to learn from the best of the best!
FUN FACT
I have traveled to 20 different states, including Alaska!

WHY NORTHEASTERN?
After doing my research, picking Northeastern was easy. Northeastern’s co-op program afforded unique opportunities. And there are so many things to do in Boston!

My professors have given me the chance to meet some terrific alumni and a job in the athletic training room on campus to help me gain more experience.

I have a little scar above my left eyebrow from tripping into a metal shelf at a library as a kid.

WHY NORTHEASTERN?
The Co-op Program, Health Informatics program particularly having no technical prerequisites, and Boston being the pharma hub were definitely standing out features. I also attended one of the events as part of Northeastern India Tour, which finalized my decision of joining Northeastern.
WHAT I LOVE
One of the things I really value about this program is the flexibility of the courses. Coming from a non-technical background, I found it easy to ease into the material and build my understanding from the basics, which made the learning experience much less overwhelming and very rewarding. I also appreciate that the courses are taught by a range of experts, each bringing practical insights from their own field.
FUN FACT
I say yes to spontaneous travel plans. Making one? Count me in!

The program is renowned for its top-tier faculty and cutting-edge research facilities, offering the perfect environment for me to bridge my clinical background with advanced rehabilitation sciences.
WHAT I LOVE
My favorite part of this program is how it perfectly bridges my background in clinical medicine with advanced biomechanics and engineering. It empowers me to move beyond traditional clinical practice and explore the underlying mechanisms of human movement to innovate rehabilitation solutions.
FUN FACT
My life seems to be guided by a compass. I completed my undergrad at Southwest Medical University in China, and now I’m here at Northeastern University. I guess I’m just making my way diagonally across the map!

As a graduate student, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from faculty who are active industry professionals, gaining both current expertise and valuable professional connections.
WHAT I LOVE
The courses offered within the program are challenging but highly rewarding and over the past year I have learned a lot about pharmaceutical concepts. In addition to the academic experience, there have been career development opportunities that have helped me refine my resume/cover letter and prepare for interviews, skills that will continue to benefit me throughout my career.

The strong sense of community that begins with taking classes alongside your full cohort in the first year. The program creates a space where I feel challenged, supported, and motivated.
FUN FACT
In Turkish, my name means “inspiration,” and coincidentally in German, a similar spelling translates to “food.” I like to think I bring both good ideas and good taste, which fits because I’ve always been a big foodie!

I knew Northeastern was the right fit the moment I learned about the on-campus Speech-Language Center! The opportunity to be part of a community where faculty and students come together to provide pro bono services to people of all ages across Charlotte is truly exciting. It’s the perfect blend of meaningful work and hands-on learning, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to grow.
WHAT I LOVE
What I love most about my program is the faculty. The professors bring a wealth of real-world clinical experience into the classroom, which makes the material feel relevant and grounded in actual practice. The way they teach goes beyond textbooks — they share their own cases, insights, and lessons learned in the field.

In my free time I pet-sit otters!

Adults 1, where we explored a range of neurogenic communication disorders including Aphasia, Right Hemisphere Disorder, Dementia, and Primary Progressive Aphasia.
