Lorelei Molchan retires as Program Manager after 20 years in position

I regret to announce that Lorelei Molchan, Program Manager, Office of Experiential and Continuing Professional Education, has decided to resign from Northeastern University effective September 6, 2024. Lorelei joined Northeastern University in 2003 to manage the APPE program for PharmD students.

We are forever grateful for Lorelei’s dedicated service and contributions to the program and students. During her 21 years, she created efficient processes for the clinical education program, having managed a database of 2,665 members of the preceptor community, 804 sites, and a total of 14,890 APPEs. She guided 2,391 students to graduation, with another 91 scheduled to graduate in 2025.

Her voice, via email or phone, was often the first an experiential stakeholder heard when seeking assistance from the office. What stakeholders might not have realized is that she administered all aspects of the program including APPE year planning/coordinating, affiliation agreements, stipends, policy/procedure, and resolving student issues, all while building long-standing relationships with our clinical affiliates. We will miss her advanced planning, and ingenious strategies to complete this large volume of work with less. Her vast institutional knowledge, dedication, and professionalism, and her passion for always producing high-level work succinctly will be impossible to replace.

Please join me in wishing her well in her future endeavors.
