Overview
Kate Leonard has been teaching in undergraduate nursing for twenty-five years and her specialty is adult medical-surgical nursing. Her experience includes teaching medical-surgical nursing in both the classroom and clinical settings, coordinator the nursing arts lab, simulation development and implementation, and has taught an asynchronous leadership course for over five years. She is currently in a DNP program, and her scholarly practice project will examine nursing faculty challenges in teaching students with learning disabilities. Her other research interests include innovative teaching pedagogies, bridging didactic learning to the clinical setting, and best practices for supporting nursing students’ success.
