The Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology program learning outcomes are as follows:
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of biologic sciences, statistics, & social/behavioral sciences, bases as evidenced by the ability to: State how principles of biologic sciences, statistics, & social/behavioral sciences apply to evaluation and/or treatment of communication disorders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic communication & swallowing processes, including their biologic, neurologic, acoustic, psychologic, developmental, linguistic, & cultural bases as evidenced by the ability to: Describe biologic, neurologic, acoustic, psychologic, developmental, linguistic, & cultural aspects of basic communication and swallowing processes.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills bases as evidenced by the ability to: Formulate appropriate clinical goals for individuals who present with a communication disorder.
- Demonstrate professional written & verbal communication skills as evidenced by the ability to: Identify primary characteristics of individual communication disorders.
