Overview
A budding nurse scientist, McDonough is interested in dyadic relationships, families who have experienced perinatal loss, improving nursing care for families who have experienced perinatal loss, and postpartum depression and anxiety.
As a labor and delivery nurse and educator, I am committed to providing safe, supportive care to new families as they welcome life into the world. I also focus on providing a safe, supportive environment for my students to learn how to care for these families as well. I enjoy incorporating simulation into my classes and practice at the bedside to enhance student/nurse communication skills. A welcoming classroom where students feel safe to participate and engage in interactive learning.
