Overview
Dr. Elaina Manolis is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in both Orthopedic and Geriatric Physical Therapy. She began her career in subacute care at D’Youville Life and Wellness Community in Lowell, Mass., where she served as both a treating clinician and a rehabilitation supervisor. She later transitioned to outpatient orthopedics at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, Mass., and now practices at Rehab Health 360 in Acton, Mass,, where she continues to focus on comprehensive care across the lifespan.
Dr. Manolis has a strong background in dance and performing arts medicine and has worked extensively with dancers and performers. She has contributed to the field through her involvement with the Spaulding Dance Special Interest Group and the Professional Development Committee of the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science. She earned her Doctor of Science (ScD) in Physical Therapy with a concentration in educational development, clinical research, and advanced practice. In 2021, she joined the faculty in the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement & Rehabilitation Sciences, where she contributes to both clinical and academic education. Her current research interests focus on sarcopenia and osteoporosis in older adults, injury prevention in performers, and evaluation and assessment in higher education.
