Bouvé community comes together to celebrate inaugural Bouvé College reunion

Key Takeaways

  • Hundreds of Bouvé alumni, faculty, staff, students, and supporters came “Back to Bouvé” to celebrate 125 years of Northeastern University.

Bouvé College of Health Sciences hosted its first-ever college reunion during Northeastern University’s 125th celebration.

The “Back to Bouvé 2023: A Reunion for All” brought together alumni from all decades, faculty, staff, students, and supporters, to share memories and connect through a weekend of events.

On Friday, November 10, alumni kicked off the weekend with the Legends Brunch where they had the chance to reflect on their journeys and share wisdom for the next generation.

Two Continuing Education courses were held on Friday for those interested in obtaining credits. The courses focused on:

  • The State of Nursing: Contemporary Issues in Nursing: Fighting for our Seat at the Table
    • Speakers: Tracy Gosselin PhD, RN, FAAN, Kathleen Davidson RN, MS, MBA, Stacey Waite DNP, RN, CNE, Justin Precourt DNP, RN, NEA/BC
  • State of Pharmacy: Boosting your Immunization Knowledge: Updates to the ACIP Vaccine Recommendations
    • Speaker: Dr. Brandon Dionne, PharmD, BCPS-IQ ID, BCIDP, AAHIVP

After an afternoon of professional headshots, class photos, and campus tours, alumni reconnected at the evening reception. With great company, food, drinks, and photo opportunities, the reception was a great place to socialize and ignite passions and enthusiasm for the future.

Saturday, November 11 started off with the Bouvé Honors Brunch where we celebrated our outstanding alumni, dedicated volunteers, and invaluable partners who were nominated for making a real difference in the Bouvé community.

The afternoon began with an important event to shed light on veterans’ unique challenges in maintaining their health and well-being beyond their service years: Advancing the Healthspan of Veterans. The event, in partnership with the Dolce Center for the Advancement of Veterans and Servicemembers (CAVS), provided a platform for sharing cutting-edge research, innovative solutions, and inspiring stories.

Alumni from the School of Nursing and School of Clinical and Rehabilitation Sciences attended sessions for Bouvé Unveiled: Forging Tomorrow Together, an event that offered exclusive looks into the innovative and transformative developments taking place within our schools.

After a Homecoming FamilyFest on Centennial Common to celebrate 125 years of Northeastern University, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our Physician Assistant program, as well as the 60th anniversary of the School of Nursing.

Back to Bouvé 2023 was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with alumni who helped share the Bouvé College we know today.

We look forward to holding on to the memories we created, and celebrating again next year!
