Overview

Dr. Dawn Swain received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in 2005. She worked as an inpatient pharmacist for many years, completed two years of research involving patient education on oral anticoagulants, and conducted patient interviews to assess adverse effects of opioids in the older population. Dr. Swain has worked for several years in ambulatory care in anticoagulation management and holds a Certificate in Anticoagulation Therapy Management from the University of Southern Indiana. She joined the faculty at Northeastern University in 2023 as course coordinator for the Integrated Learning Lab and served in that role for two years. She currently serves as Assistant Dean of Experiential Education and is the Interprofessional Education Lead for the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
