PGY1 Residency Received Receives Full Accreditation

We are delighted to share that the School of Pharmacy’s postgraduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy residency program, in collaboration with federally qualified health centers (FQHC) and Program All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), was approved for re-accreditation and granted accreditation for six years. The program provides a structured education and training experience for post-graduate pharmacists who desire to accelerate beyond entry-level professional competence. The goal of this PGY1 is to promote development of expertise in the drug therapy management of chronic disease states commonly encountered in urban FQHC and PACE programs. Congratulations to the faculty and residents who were instrumental in the process: Carla Bouwmeester, Kathy Bungay, Michael Conley, Karrie Juengel, Thomas Matta, Clara Ofodile, Debra Reid, Tayla Thompson and Jenny Van Amburgh.
