Brendan Harmon
Brendan Harmon Wins Third Prize in the Poster Award at the Experimental Biology 2013 meeting.
Brendan Harmon, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, working in Professor Barbara Waszczak’s laboratory was selected as one of the finalists at the Experimental Biology 2013 meeting. Brendan won third place, which includes a $250 prize and free registration for the 2014 meeting.

Amirah Aly
Amirah Aly was awarded a travel award of $1,000 to attend the ASNTR (American Society for Neural Therapy and Repair) meeting in Clearwater, FL on April 24-26, 2014.

Amirah also received the Graduate Student Government Award at RISE for her poster, “Treating Parkinson’s Disease Using a Non-Invasive Gene Therapy Approach”.

Shravan Sriraman
PhD student Shravan Sriraman came in second place at the Integrative Systems, Translational and Clinical Pharmacology Division Young Investigator Awards Platform Session in American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) Experimental Biology 2014 Annual meeting in San Diego, April 26-30.

Oral Presentation Title: Enhanced in vitro cancer cell cytotoxicity of dual ligand-targeted liposomes.
