
President and CEO of Grubb’s Southeast Pharmacy and Mini-Mart Speaks at 2018 White Coat Ceremony
Northeastern University hosted the 2018 White Coat Ceremony on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Blackman Auditorium. This year’s ceremony fell on a beautiful autumn day, allowing for scenic fall photos as students and hundreds of family and friends gathered for the event. Northeastern alumnus William Fadel was the keynote speaker for the 2018 White Coat Ceremony, delivering a moving and motivational speech for the graduating class of 2022.
Mr. Fadel is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Grubb’s Southeast Pharmacy and Mini-Mart located in Washington, D.C. A pharmacy retail executive with more than 34 years of experience, he began his career as a pharmacist with CVS Pharmacy, where he quickly rose through the ranks of management to oversee multiple locations in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
In 2012, Mr. Fadel co-founded Grubb’s Southeast Pharmacy and Mini-Mart to better serve those in the southeast community of the District of Columbia. Grubb’s maintains a patient-first culture, providing a full-service pharmacy experience, with particular focus on specialty pharmacy care. Mr. Fadel is also the Founder and Chairman of Kalorama Pharmacy in the District of Columbia. Launched in 2017, the new pharmacy brings the hallmarks of customized care and personal attention to the community.
Mr. Fadel was selected as a member of National Small Business Association Leadership Council. The council is comprised of leaders in the small-business community who collaborate alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C. Mr. Fadel is active on the council, serving on the Health and Human Resources, Economic Development and Tax Committees. He was appointed by the Mayor’s Office to serve as a Commissioner to the District of Columbia Healthcare Alliance Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Mr. Fadel is also the Treasurer of the District of Columbia Anacostia Business Improvement District. Through Grubb’s Southeast Pharmacy, Mr. Fadel is an official partner of the Department of Health’s Medical Countermeasures Program in the District of Columbia.
