Recent Faculty Promotions
The Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences is proud to announce promotions for three of its faculty:
Alexa Carlson, PharmD, was promoted to the rank of Associate Clinical Professor. Dr. Carlson is a coordinator for the Comprehensive Disease Management Course sequence and has a clinical site at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was the recipient of the School of Pharmacy Teaching Excellence Award in 2016, an award selected each year by students in the pharmacy program.
Debra Reid, PharmD, BC-ADM, CDE, BCACP, was also promoted to Associate Clinical Professor. Dr. Reid’s clinical site is at the Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury where she specializes in Ambulatory Pharmacy Practice and Diabetes Self-Management Education. She is actively involved as a preceptor for the PharmD program and with the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency.
Jennifer Kirwin, PharmD, BCPS was promoted Clinical Professor. In addition to her role in the Comprehensive Disease Management Skills Laboratory Course, Dr. Kirwin currently serves Vice Chair of the Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences and Chair of the School of Pharmacy Curriculum Committee.
