Pharmacy Faculty Represented at the Comprehensive Instructor Workshop

Pharmacy faculty members Jennifer Kirwin, Thomas Matta and Todd Brown recently attended the Comprehensive Instructor Workshop at the Center for Medical Simulation in Boston, MA. This 45-hour intensive experience is led by expert faculty in healthcare simulation.  The workshop is designed to develop participants’ ability to create a challenging and safe learning environment, teach clinical thinking and skills, and facilitate effective debriefing.  The three participating faculty are course instructors for the school’s Comprehensive Disease Management Skills Laboratory, and look forward to integrating concepts from the workshop into the classroom.  Participation in this workshop was supported in part by grants from the Bouvé College Simulation Leadership Council and the Northeastern University Full-Time Faculty Development Fund.
