Bouve Health Fair

Bouve Health Fair Celebrates 10 Years!

On October 5th, Phi Delta Chi, a professional pharmacy fraternity, hosted its 10th annual Bouvé Health Fair and Flu Shot Clinic. As usual, free flu shots were given out to the entire Northeastern community as well as free health screenings and health information booths to educate students and faculty alike on taking control of their health. It was a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate interprofessionalism within the Bouvé College, such as pharmacy and nursing students working together to give out the flu shots. A two-day blood drive was featured in this health fair rather than usual one day due to its popularity. Donors had the opportunity to win pairs of movie tickets and received long-sleeved shirts as well. For the 10th anniversary, many more events were added, such as yoga and Zumba classes. A wide variety of giveaways, such as exercise t-shirts and hand sanitizer, were given out to attendees as well. Overall, at least 2,000 flu shots were given out, and 73 units of blood was donated, enough to save over 220 patients! It was great day for the Bouvé College to come out and invite the community to learn about and take control of their own health.
