Prof. Margarita DiVall has been selected as the next President of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), representing Northeastern University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in this prestigious national leadership role. She will be installed as President-Elect at the AACP Annual Meeting in Chicago this July.
DiVall currently serves as Clinical Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Belonging in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences. A “Double Husky,” she earned both her PharmD and Masters in Education degrees from Northeastern before completing a pharmacy practice residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Her distinguished career includes Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist and election as a Fellow of the National Academies of Practice.
Vision for Pharmacy Education
In her presidential statement, DiVall outlined an ambitious vision built on “three key pillars: impactful strategy, professional elevation, and collaborative transformation.” Her agenda focuses on reimagining pharmacy education, practice, and research while advancing pharmacy’s role in healthcare delivery and leveraging diverse expertise to grow the profession.
DiVall recently shared similar perspectives as the keynote speaker at the May 2025 Bouvé College of Health Sciences Doctoral Commencement, demonstrating her commitment to educational excellence and professional advancement.
