CCHERS Annual Meeting & Fundraiser: Organizing for Health & Wealth

The Center for Community Health Education Research & Service (CCHERS) at Northeastern University will hold its Annual Meeting & Fundraiser on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 5:00–7:30 p.m. at the ABCD Thelma D. Burns Building, 575 Warren Street, Boston, MA 02121.

This year’s theme, Organizing for Health & Wealth, will center on a conversation with Heather McGhee, bestselling author of The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together. McGhee’s work explores the economic and social toll of racism and offers a vision for collective prosperity, themes that align directly with CCHERS’ longstanding commitment to advancing health equity in underserved communities.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Elmer Freeman Economic Justice Advocacy Fund, which supports community-driven efforts to address the social and economic determinants of health.

The event is made possible by the generous support of sponsors including the Mass League of Community Health Centers, Health Equity Compact, NU/Bouvé College of Health Sciences, Mothers for Justice & Equality, Lumas Solutions LLC, and Tom Kieffer & Pat Feeley.

Invitations have been distributed to the CCHERS community, and tickets are open to anyone who wishes to attend. RSVP by March 11.
