Over the summer, Dr. Janet Monagle, clinical professor and assistant dean for pre-licensure programs, was inducted as a fellow into the Academy of Nursing Education (ANEF) by the National League for Nursing (NLN).
This announcement was made public through a press release by the NLN.
“Twenty-seven distinguished nurse educators have been selected as the 18th class of fellows for induction into the prestigious National League for Nursing Academy of Nursing Education,” wrote Michael Keaton for the NLN.
With this new class, the academy now boasts over 400 members, including our very own Dr. Monagle.
This honor reflects the outstanding contributions Dr. Monagle has made to Nursing Education.
She has dedicated herself to advancing research on clinical judgment, and her work in adapting Tanner’s Model of Clinical Judgment to incorporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles has been profoundly influential in organizations across the U.S.
NLN offers professional development, networking opportunities, testing services, nursing research grants, and public policy initiatives. This will allow for the professional and research advancements of all the fellows.
