Culturally Responsive Evaluation – a Co-op Perspective

The Northeastern University Public Evaluation Lab (NU-PEL) hosted a virtual event on December 8th to discuss Culturally Responsive Evaluation (CRE) led by Isabelle Carrillo, the co-op student at the Institute for Health Equity and Social Justice Research (IHESJR). Using case studies, Isabelle shared her experiences and understanding of CRE and how it looked like in practice as a part of her co-op work. There was a great representation of attendees: Northeastern undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff. The Institute will continue their anti-racist events series this spring with two events: one by NU-PEL and GBEN which will take a deeper look into CRE, and another focused on anti-racist social science research teams. Stay tuned for more information and details about these upcoming events.
