Dr. Atsushi Matsumoto, affiliated faculty of the Institute, and faculty scholar, Dr. Claudia Santelices, Assistant Research Professor in Bouvé College of Health Sciences, recently had their paper “Jail-based reentry programming to support continued treatment with medications for opioid use disorder: Qualitative perspectives and experiences among jail staff in Massachusetts” accepted for publication by the International Journal of Drug Policy. The paper focuses on the results of a study examining perspectives around coordination of post-release care among jail staff engaged in medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) programs with a focus on coordination of care to the community.
The paper involves interdisciplinary collaborations between Bouvé College of Health Sciences, University of Massachusetts School of Public Health and Health Sciences, University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, and Tufts University School of Medicine.
