Former HEI Debby Nguyen Debuted a Book on Traditional Medicine
Debby Nguyen, former HEI, wrote a book about research practices among other cultures and medicine across the globe titled “Pills, Teas, and Songs: Stories of Medicine Around the World,” which will be released in April of this year. Institute Director Alisa Lincoln advised Nguyen throughout her writing process. The Huntington News quotes Alisa when she said that Nguyen “… blends together understandings that she’s gained as a pharmacy student around medication and STEM, with the power of lived experience and narrative…That’s really what makes the book so special.” We are very proud of Debby and look forward to reading her book!
