Faculty, Staff, and students from the Institute, Northeastern Public Evaluation Lab (NU-PEL), and Dr. Molnars’ Lab Participate in Northeastern’s Annual SOURCE Event
On October 6, 2021 Faculty, Staff, and students from the Institute, Northeastern Public Evaluation Lab (NU-PEL), and Dr. Molnars’ Lab participated in , which is the university-wide Showcase of Opportunities for Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor. Nearly 150 faculty members shared the latest news about their research and creative projects with over 1,600 enthusiastic undergraduates.
Dr. Beth Molnar and members of her lab, Daphney Mirand (Project Manager), Chloe Nichols (Graduate Student Assistant), and Health Equity Intern Katherine Barker shared with interested students about the research they do in the Institute’s Violence Prevention and Trauma Studies as well as the Public Mental Health and Substance Use research core.
Dr. Tiana Yom led the efforts of informing students about the great work NU-PEL does regarding partnering with community organizations in order to evaluate programs, treatments, and initiatives. Doctoral students, Sushant Kumar and Raimy Jaramillo and former Health Equity Intern Olivia Sterns shared their experience with interested students around their work in evaluation research.
Health Equity Interns Emma Rock, Pragnya Kalidindi, Dorian Stump, and Sylvia Wise connected with students about the Institute for Health Equity and Social Justice’s internship program – the Health Equity Internship. They were supported by Suzanne Garverich, the Program Director of the Institute.
Students who are interested in working with Dr. Molnar, NU-PEL, or other research taking place at the Institute are encouraged to apply by November 7th, 2021 for the spring internship.
