Faculty Scholar Dr. Beth Molnar’s VTRI Project Provides Webinar Recordings
IHESJR faculty member Dr. Beth Molnar, Director of Violence Prevention and Trauma Studies at the Institute, and Population Health PhD student Samantha Meeker, invite you to view webinars provided by their project, the Vicarious Trauma Response Initiative (VTRI) to discuss challenges and identify resources for first responders and victim service providers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Vicarious Trauma Response Initiative (VTRI) is funded by the Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, in collaboration with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). The mission of the project is to identify and develop skills and practices needed to promote healthy, comprehensive, and sustained collaborative approaches that buffer and mitigate the negative effects of vicarious trauma. Twelve diverse communities will be chosen to receive training and technical assistance across the U.S. The call for applications was released this week and can be found here: https://www.theiacp.org/projects/vicarious-trauma-response-initiative . Applications are due by June 29, 2020.
