Dr. Benita Bamgbade is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University. She received her Pharm.D. degree from The University of Texas at Austin. After working in community pharmacy, she returned to The University of Texas and received her Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Health Outcomes and Pharmacy Practice Division. Her research aims to identify factors that influence the health and medication taking behaviors of people with psychiatric multimorbidity and chronic disease using “real world” observational data and qualitative direct stakeholder engagement. Dr. Bamgbade’s work aims to improve health outcomes among older adults with psychiatric multimorbidity by identifying useful targets for patient-centered interventions. Dr. Bamgbade also has an interest in health disparities as they relate to psychiatric multimorbidity.
