Learning Objectives for Pharmacists
At the completion of this activity, the participant shall be able to:
- Present areas of USP <797> sterile compounding chapter that were clarified by the Nov. 1,2022 revisions.
- Apply revised USP <797> sterile compounding.
- Recognize various aspects of a Quality Assurance required by USP <1163> and MA Board of Pharmacy Regulations.
- Outline importance of implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) in a sterile compounding pharmacy.
- Produce corrective action and preventative action plan in response to a risk assessment conducted after receipt of a customer complaint related to a compounded sterile product (CSP).
- Develop a corrective action and preventative action plan in response to inspection findings following a MA Board of Pharmacy sterile inspection.
