Overview
Dr. Georgan serves as a clinical faculty member in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. They received their bachelor’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Georgan went on to complete their clinical training at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and received their PhD in Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology from Harvard University. Their doctoral research was completed under the mentorship of Dr. Tiffany Hogan through the Speech and Language Literacy Lab (SAiL). Dr. Georgan’s research interests focus on identifying and supporting children with language and literacy disorders, particularly how to identify and support students with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and dyslexia in educational settings. They completed their clinical fellowship training at an elementary school in Billerica Public Schools. Dr. Georgan teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses.
