Dr. Maxwell is an Associate Clinical Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences Department. She received an MSPT from Boston University, a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, and a PhD in Epidemiology from the Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Maxwell has developed and taught courses throughout DPT program curriculums for over 10 years, with expertise in flipped classroom pedagogy for therapeutic exercise and musculoskeletal courses. Her research interests include home and community participation restrictions in aging adults with knee osteoarthritis and knee replacements, and health promotion and wellness education.
