Jamie Musler, LPD, ATC

Dr. Jamie Musler serves as the Director of Interprofessional Simulation for Northeastern University’s Bouve College of Health Sciences and is the Director of the Arnold S. Goldstein Simulation Laboratories. He oversees the implementation of simulation as a strategic initiative to advance excellence in health professions education. Dr. Musler is an experienced university administrator and educator with a diverse background in sports medicine, education and curriculum design, healthcare administration, liability and risk management, and athletic training. Dr. Musler is considered to be a goal and action oriented leader with an established ability for the development of creative and unique solutions to complex organizational challenges. His diverse background includes 24 years as an educator, 12 years as a college athletic department administrator, 16 years as a university administrator, and 18 years as a risk management and legal consultant.
Dr. Musler has held positions at Northeastern University, Curry College, University of Massachusetts, Hampden-Sydney College, Eastern Nazarene College, the University of Virginia and Simons College. In addition, he has been involved with clinical and educational simulation for over twenty years. Dr. Musler is also a Governor appointed Member of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Allied Health, serves as a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association Ethics Committee and Governmental Affairs Committee, served as Chair of the Legislative and Governmental Affairs Committee and is a past President of the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts and an Executive Board member for the National Athletic Trainers Association, District 1. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Behavioral Medicine. Dr. Musler received his BS degree from Ithaca College, his Masters Degree from Old Dominion University, and his Doctorate in Law and Public Policy from Northeastern University. He completed additional training as a Comprehensive Simulation Instructor from the Harvard-MIT Center for Medical Simulation in Boston, MA.
