Overview

Dr. Fitzpatrick teaches in a variety of areas including geriatric physical therapy, health care systems, leadership and administration, and global health. Areas of scholarly inquiry include service-learning, global experiential learning, health policy, safe patient handling, fall risk and geriatric physical therapy education. She is active in contemporary clinical practice, most recently in the area of home health. Dr. Fitzpatrick’s awards include Northeastern University, Bouvé College Distinguished Educator Award and Northeastern University’s Department of Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences Excellence in Community Engagement Award. Dr. Fitzpatrick is an active member of the APTA of Massachusetts and serves as a district representative.
