Research Interests

Postoperative neurocognitive changes associated with anesthesia and cardiac surgery. Identification of intraoperative processes of care associated with precursors of neurologic injury secondary to anesthesia for cardiac surgery.

Risks and benefits associated with blood transfusions including strategies to reduce utilization of blood in the perioperative period.
