Dr. Levac is a physical therapist and an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences at Northeastern University, with an affiliate position in Bioengineering in the College of Engineering. Dr. Levac is the Director of the Rehabilitation Games and Virtual Reality Lab, where she focuses on promoting the sustainable, evidence-based integration of virtual reality (VR) and active video gaming systems into rehabilitation. The lab explores how VR-based therapy can improve motor learning, balance, functional mobility and participation in children and adults with neuromotor impairments. Dr. Levac’s research evaluates motor learning paradigms in virtual environments to understand how task practice conditions impact motor learning processes and outcomes.
