Professor Brady Post is a health economist and health services researcher.

Dr. Post’s research on hospital-physician integration has twice received prestigious Article of the Year awards, from Medical Care Research and Review in 2019 and Health Services Research in 2022. He has been interviewed by NPR, has been cited in the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission’s report to Congress, and has presented invited research to the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission. His work has been funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Dr. Post studies Medicare policy, provider consolidation, and health care spending. He focuses on hospital-physician integration (e.g., hospital employment of physicians) and its growing effects on the health care system. He specializes in analysis of large datasets, such as Medicare claims, and uses econometric methods including difference-in-differences and instrumental variables.
