Health Sciences assistant professor awarded 2022 Article of the Year
Congratulations to Bouvé assistant professor Brady Post, who has been awarded the 2022 Article of the Year from the Health Services Research, one of the leading journals in health policy.

Bouvé Department of Health Sciences Assistant Professor Dr. Brady Post.
Dr. Post is an assistant professor in Bouvé’s Department of Health Sciences whose research on health policy and health care delivery systems explores hospital-physician vertical integration (hospital employment of physicians).
Post’s article, Hospital-physician integration and Medicare’s site-based outpatient payments, worked to determine the relationship between Medicare’s site-based outpatient billing policy and hospital-physician integration. The paper received immediate attention after its publication from the Chair of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), one of the most powerful health policymaking entities in the country. The Chair of MedPAC, Michael Chernew, wrote a dedicated article about it in Health Services Research. Brady was also cited in MedPAC’s official report to Congress and he was interviewed by NPR about the implications of his research.
Dr. Post has also just published another paper, this one in Health Economics. This work caught the attention of the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, an agency that makes recommendations to the state government. Post was asked to present the research to their Board of Commissioners at their recent public meeting.
