Innovators in Health Equity and Racial Justice webinar series, by the Bouvé College of Health Sciences, will host Dr. Thea James virtually as part of this ongoing series. Thea James, MD, is VP of Mission, and Associate Chief Medical Officer at Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, and Co-Executive Director of the BMC Health Equity Accelerator.

The College of Science virtual COS Connects Seminar Series from 12 pm – 1 pm will focus on Women in Science, discussing efforts to promote gender inclusion in the sciences and highlighting our 2021-2022 Advancing Women in Science Scholars. This seminar series is designed to be a conversation among COS faculty, students, and the external community about the positive impact of scientific discovery on our daily lives.

Join Khoury College and the Student Support Initiative in celebrating Women in Tech! Connect with some clubs on campus, meet some of the Khoury Student Success Guides, enjoy grab-and-go offerings of snacks by women-owned companies, and celebrate all of what it means to be a woman in tech! While this event will focus on the experiences of women in tech, students of all gender identities are welcome to participate in the celebration! The College of Engineering is hosting a panel discussion for Women’s History Month. Featuring WIE (Women in Engineering) faculty who will share their journeys “Breaking Barriers” into Academy. Panelists include: Loretta Fernandez – Associate Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering & Marine and Environmental Sciences (joint appointment), Mona Minkara – Assistant Professor, Bioengineering, Rebecca Willits – Professor and Department Chair, Chemical Engineering. COE students from the Society of Women Engineers and the Sherman Center will moderate the panel.
