Dr. Erin Meier awarded 2022 Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute Pilot Program

Congratulations to Dr. Erin Meier on being awarded the 2022 Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Pilot program for the project entitled, Word Retrieval in the Wild: An Ecological Momentary Assessment Pilot Study in People with Post-Stroke Aphasia.

Meier is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the Bouvé College of Health Sciences.

She is also the director of The Aphasia Network (TAN) Lab. The primary goal of the TAN Lab is to maximize functional communication recovery in people with aphasia by better understanding the links between the brain, language, and behavior in real-world contexts.

The Pilot Studies Program “provides one-year awards in support of new translational science projects that have the potential to answer important questions and/or that address translational roadblocks.”

Meier will work with Northeastern’s Stephen Intille on this interprofessional project.
